Afternoon tea in the Tea Lounge at Waldorf Astoria.
| Waldorf Astoria

Until recently, afternoon tea in Las Vegas was an afterthought. A fancy, dress-up alternative to brunch, tea partiers had few options until the popularity of Bridgerton helped the British tradition grow. Now, there is no shortage of places to experience it across the valley.

The English custom of afternoon tea is believed to have started sometime in the mid-19th century. Many credit the Duchess of Bedford with creating the light afternoon meal concept but historians have challenged the notion. Regardless of who came up with the idea of serving tea with tiny sandwiches and small desserts, these Las Vegas tea houses have perfected it.
