Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have developed two new attractions that will debut at two Six Flags theme parks in 2015.

A redesigned version of “Batman: The Ride” is planned for Six Flags Fiesta Texas, while “Justice League: Battle for Metropolis” will debut at Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags St. Louis. The attractions are expected to be open by the peak summer theme park going season.

Warner Bros. has long had a relationship with Six Flags to feature DC Comics superheroes and Looney Tunes characters in the parks through rides and attractions.

“Batman: The Ride” will provide riders with the feeling of weightlessness as they fly outside the confines of a traditional roller coaster track. The attraction is considered the first coaster that includes six head-over-heels flips. The coaster also features a 120-foot tall hill, two 90-degree drops and a Bruce Wayne-Batman-themed queue line that includes the Batmobile and Bat-Signal.

The original “Batman: The Ride” first opened at Six Flags Great America and Six Flags Great Adventure in 1992, with California’s Six Flags Magic Mountain following that in 1994. It was the world’s first inverted roller coaster and themed around Tim Burton “Batman” movies.

“Justice League: Battle for Metropolis” is more of a “Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters”-like shooter that has guests assist Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern in saving the world from the Joker’s laughing gas attack as they shoot villains with stun guns.

The attraction features lifelike animatronic superheroes design by Sally Manufacturing, 3D graphics and footage by Pure Imagination.
