Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” has firmed up its cast with Glenn Close confirmed for the Nova Prime police force role.

Marvel screened early footage of the tentpole, set for release by Disney on Aug. 1, 2014,  on Saturday at Comic-Con. Director James Gunn appeared with cast members Chris Pratt (who portrays Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer), Benicio Del Toro (the Collector), Lee Pace (Ronan the Accuser), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Djimon Hounsou (Korath the Pursuer) and Michael Rooker (Yondu).

John C. Reilly is also on board as Rhomann Dey. Gunn began shooting earlier this month at Shepperton Studios in London.

Marvel Studios’ president Kevin Feige is producing. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Jeremy Latcham, Alan Fine and Stan Lee are exec producing.
