Gol expects to conclude merger with Smiles by April 19 of 2021, according to a schedule disclosed by the airline. Gol will negotiate the terms of the proposal with a committee of independent directors of Smiles, which will be defined by the customer-loyalty company, between December 10 and January 11. After the talks, the transaction proposal will be submitted to the vote of Smiles shareholders. First, an extraordinary general meeting of Smiles shareholders is expected to discuss the final terms on January 18. Then, a new shareholders meeting is expected to decide on February 18 whether to accept the merger.
