We're excited to spotlight the innovative start-ups joining us for Plug and Play UK's Health Program Batch 2! 🩺🚀 This week, we’re focusing on Praxium AI, a company tackling an important global health issue. Praxium AI, founded by Nelson Jordan and Nicolas Ivanov, helps radiologists in Low and Middle-Income Countries diagnose, triage, and report on breast cancer. Their multimodal AI copilot is not only more accurate than traditional unimodal models, reducing false positives and negatives, but also more interactive, empowering radiologists to boost their diagnostic confidence and skill. Praxium AI has already developed a functional DICOM viewer, enabling radiologists to view and analyze 2D mammograms, and is currently working on a multimodal breast cancer detection model. With breast cancer incidence rising—leading to 670,000 deaths annually—and a shortage of experienced radiologists, early detection is more crucial than ever. Praxium's AI tools aim to provide every country with the technological and financial means to implement breast cancer screening for all women over 40. While many competitors focus on High-Income Countries, Praxium is committed to serving Low and Middle-Income Countries, where 70% of breast cancer deaths occur—an often overlooked but increasingly vital region with significant growth potential. We’re thrilled to share that Plug and Play Tech Center’s Portfolio Company - DELIVERS.AI - has recently closed a funding round, having raised a total of $4M at a $36M valuation! 🚀 DELIVERS.AI's autonomous mobility platform leverages AI-driven, low-emission delivery robots and vehicles to make last-mile logistics more cost-effective and environmentally friendly. This funding round was backed by Japan Post Capital, Turkey Development Fund, Bulgaria-based IMPETUS Capital, and İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi.
