The Role

The Senior Editor, ERP Today Magazine writes compelling editorial content daily focused on the vision, direction and adoption of ERP software and enterprise technology. You will write and publish member success stories, technology vision and roadmaps and expert insights. The Senior Editor will conduct extensive market research, attend leading technology company events, interview business and technology executives, partner with ERP Today research analysts and build a network of member experts.

The Senior Editor communicates solution requirements and product roadmaps aligned to business transformation goals across the Global 10,000 companies. Your published content will be featured in ERP Today Magazine in every edition, as well as, on www.ERP.today weekly. The overall ERP Today subscriber member community is over 1 million members growing at over 30% a year.

ERP Today provides continuous on the job technology market training to expand your skills and experience.The objective is for you to establish your writing as essential for every member to read and understand.

Key topics you will be writing about include:

• ERP enabling business transformation across the Global 10,000.
• Industry specific requirements for ERP software and solutions.
• ERP company executive interviews and product roadmaps.
• CIO executive leadership on achieving measurable results from deploying ERP.
• ERP systems, software, functionality, platforms and data migration approaches and providers that are bringing innovative solutions to market.
• Adoption of ERP as a platform for business transformation.
• ERP Embedded AI embedded solutions
• Process Automation across key business processes of Finance, GRC, SCM, Spend Management, MFG and HCM
• Cloud deployment models and the role of hyperscalers for ERP
• Securing data and operations in the cloud

Specific Responsibilities include:

• Manage a 2-3 person editorial team across a dedicated coverage area in developing stories, conducting briefing and interviews through publication.
• Conduct ERP company executive interviews.
• Write, layout and publish the ERP Today Magazine each quarter and work with publishing operations to print and distribute to our executive community as well as digital publishing for our broader subscriber base.
• Own the ERP focused coverage and and write about their capabilities, case studies and recommendations for end users to consider.
• Attend ERP company events and conventions learning about new features, capabilities and strategic directions writing about these insights.
• Conduct daily calls with ERP companies and their Partner companies product management and product marketing executives to learn about product directions.
• Intereview end user ERP Today members weekly to fully understand key business issues, what technology solutions they are implementing, expected business benefits and the lessons learned.
• Write daily news and insights website posts and social media posts for end users to keep them aware of the market developments.
• Partner with a dedicated SAPinsider research analyst team in writing research reports, derivative research briefs and competitive insight client workshops built on quantitative survey data and respondent interviews.
• Write 3-4 featured articles in ERP Today Magazine for each quarterly edition.
• Write weekly Media Awareness website blog posts detailing the technology vision and product roadmap for client technology partner companies.
• Interview ERP companies and their partner technology product leadership on their technology vision and product roadmap, recent client success stories and strategic product developments.
• Write client articles and case studies on ERP adoption and enterprise technology thought leadership topics.

Professional Qualifications

An ideal candidate will possess:

• 7+ years of professional writing, journalism, interviewing and analytics experience with a strong preference for deep understanding of the ERP technology environment.
• Proven technology magazine experience with a preference for deep ERP understanding and writing.
• Passion for being the most influential and enduring voice across the global ERP community.
• Proven experience with interviewing experts and executives and translating those insights into compelling published content.
• Ability to ideate, research, write and publish multiple story lines at the same time on a consistent basis.
• Keen interest in emerging enterprise technology solutions like Embedded AI, Process Automation, Cloud Platforms, Data Management and ERP Deployment & Integration.
• Deep understanding of how to communicate technology innovation and business process requirements across all formats of editorial and publishing communication.
• Exceptional analytical and interviewing skills.
• Team leadership experience.
