Senior Quality Assurance Auditor

Job Title: Senior QA Auditor / Quality Assurance Lead / Team Leader

Reporting to: QA Manager 

Shift: Monday - Friday. Shift cover

The Role Description:

Maintaining the food safety and quality standards daily, monitoring and maintaining GMP and product standards from intake through to dispatch. Working closely with the QA Manager and Operations department to ensure that the product is manufactured and packed to the specified tolerances to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved and ensure food safety and legality.

Your Key Responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Assist in the operation of the QA function by maintaining satisfactory standards of performance regarding food safety, hygiene, discipline, and health and safety and to bring all the issues arising from these duties to the attention of the QA Manager.
• Carry out internal operational audits against the schedule.
• Monitor production and quality activities on Red Zone (workforce management system).
• Monitor finished product quality.
• Cover Production QA
• Attend factory trials, launches, attendance to the departmental meeting in the absence of the QA Manager
• Project work as and when required. To perform other tasks which are of a reasonable request in line with the QA department.

You will have:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a production or quality role within a food manufacturing
• Level 3 Food Hygiene
• Level 3 HACCP
• Quality Auditing experience.
• Internal Auditing Qualification
• Experience of training staff
• A working understanding of industry-standard systems (Si, Red Zone) 

Working Hours:

• 40 Hours. Monday to Friday (shift cover expected)
• 75 % factory floor 25% office based
