Plastek UK is a major UK and European manufacturer of plastic packaging and is part of the international Plastek Group. Internal growth plans have created the opportunity for an enthusiastic and confident individual to join our fast-paced Quality department on a full-time basis on a 3 shift rota basis Days/Afters/Nights.
This interesting and varied role involves collecting and measuring daily product samples, using CMM and various other equipment, you will be required to interact with every department to achieve quality products.
Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Monitoring the Quality of products visually and dimensionally.
· Enter the dimensional data into Specific software.
· Approve the start-up of production runs.
· Make product quality decisions individually.
· Identify and document any deviations or non-conformities and collaborate with production teams to isolate the affected products.
· Maintain high standards of housekeeping at all times and promoting a safe working environment.
· Ensure all operational activities are carried out in accordance with site ISO accreditations.
Requirements:
Previous Quality/Inspection experience
Proficient in English writing and verbal skills
Computer Literate.
Keen eye for detail.
Knowledge of using CMM, preferable OGP machines.
Experience in CMM Programming – Desirable
Previous experience in Plastic manufacturing Environment - Desirable
