Production Manager

We are currently seeking a Production Manager to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Grimsby.

Responsibilities:

As a Production Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your key responsibilities will include:

Machinery Maintenance:

  • Oversee the maintenance of all manufacturing machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Implement a strict monthly maintenance schedule, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard
  • Diagnose issues with equipment and ensure timely repairs to prevent downtime

Production Flow Management:

  • Continuously analyze manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
  • Develop and implement strategies to eliminate bottlenecks and streamline production flow

Production Scheduling:

  • Work closely with the Despatch and Customer Care team to ensure orders are produced and dispatched on time and meet quality standards
  • Adjust production schedules based on machinery availability, staff capacity, and order priority
  • Monitor daily production outputs and adjust workflows as necessary to meet deadlines

Quality Control:

  • Ensure the production team adheres to all quality control standards
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to maintain product quality and implement new quality processes as needed

Team Management and Development:

  • Lead, motivate, and support a diverse team to foster a positive work environment and high morale
  • Conduct regular team meetings and individual reviews to encourage open communication and promptly address any issues
  • Focus on the professional development of team members, including training and skill enhancement


Requirements

  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
  • Experience in reporting on key production metrics
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
  • Outstanding communication ability
  • Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach

Salary- £35,000- £40,000

Profit share bonus scheme

Flexible hours between 6am and 5pm Monday- Friday
