We are currently recruiting for a production manager, to take overall responsibility for the production of our imaging systems. As production manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the production team. You will also be responsible for the review and streamlining of production procedures to reduce lead times, and communicating with our customers to develop detailed specifications for our bespoke products. As an adaptable individual, you will also be willing to contribute towards other projects in different areas of the company. The ideal candidate will show strong leadership ability, be extremely well-organised, and be a capable team player. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Detailed Job Description
Schedule and prioritise system builds
Take overall responsibility for quality control, instigating and developing QC procedures to recognised (e.g. ISO) standards at all stages of production, including goods inbound, sub-assemblies, and final products
Communicate production schedules, goals and progress to key stakeholders including the CEO, production staff and customers
Facilitate production meetings to discuss progress, identify challenges and resolve them in a timely manner
Provide line management to production staff, setting performance goals and conducting regular evaluations to support professional development
Engage in discussions with end users to understand and capture system configuration requirements and preferences
Manage the creation and updating of build manuals, taking responsibility for the addition of new processes and changes to existing production methods
Maintain accurate production records, including build reports, inventory records, and quality control documentation
Oversee logistics and operations to ensure timely delivery of orders both domestically and internationally
Inventory management
Procurement management
Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA): Identify where there are problems and where production can be improved; Band-building processes to prevent the recurrence of problems
General assistance with system build work
The post holder will be encouraged to undertake a programme of continuing professional development to enable career progression and continued expansion of the role.
