Our client is now looking for a Production Manager. This role is a leadership & management position which is responsible for ensuring the successful realisation, delivery & full end-to-end production process of all company projects. Taking the lead on project management for projects, from briefing in through to production delivery and post-project de-brief including storage, when applicable, this role must work effectively with the client & as part of the company team to ensure successful realisation of projects and company operations, including installations & client sign off. Working closely with the creative & production teams to develop the physical materials and build process, this role is responsible for the implementation and close monitoring of the project and production timeline to ensure all deadlines are met throughout the process. Managing health & safety, project budgets, onsite operations and post-event evaluation are all responsibilities which also fall within this remit. Position is not determined by set times of working but based on set hours per week. The role needs to remain flexible to respond to the demands of the industry which can often be anti-social hours as each project demands. The position may require fulfilment of line management duties as applicable. As a Senior Manager within the company, this role is responsible for overseeing a small team, including freelancers and for acting as a second in command to the COO. This role is responsible for: Production - successful realisation of company projects - attending all project briefings & production meetings - liaising with production including the Workshop Manager to ensure deadlines are met - liaising with Finance to ensure budget requirements are met & cost monitors are completed in a timely manner - ensuring project works are planned into project production timelines with all tasks assigned to relevant employees/subcontractors & updated in real time. - ensure positive effective liaison & communication with clients to build lasting, trusted relationships including issuing regular, updated timelines & WIP images - ensure effective liaison & communication with suppliers to ensure trusted relationships and best prices - ensure effective internal liaison & communication within the company team & subcontractors - exploring innovative, creative & cost-effective production solutions - reporting on production issues in a timely and accurate manner - regular checks on quality control & production timelines throughout production process - consulting on production queries, costings, innovation in materials & processes, production budgets, health & safety, production time-lines & efficient ways of working as requested - maintaining a high level of attention to detail, quality control, cost effective, best practice & ecological approach at all times - hosting client visits when required & striving to build client relationships by addressing client queries or issues and seeking resolution before elevating - asset management of client held assets - ensuring efficient work practices - efficient proactive planning, coordination, control and fulfilment of all projects - assisting with quoting & costings as requested ensuring all project administration is kept up to date & finance dept feel supported - ensure up to date Company information on projects is available for the rest of the wider team - ensuring the Company calendar is kept up to date with allocated individuals and associated tasks in accordance with project/Company timelines - consulting on production queries, costings, innovation in materials & processes, production budgets, health & safety, production time-lines & efficient ways of working as requested - maintaining a high level of attention to detail, quality control, cost effective, best practice & ecological approach at all times - safeguard and enhance the company reputation at all times - compliance with the Company's policies & procedures including Health & Safety & Sustainability - being an effective, positive, part of the engine of the company - behaving in a respectful, polite and positive manner at all times - key part of the culture of the business - flexible and not determined by set times of working but based on basic hours per week. - able to respond to the demands of the industry which can often be anti-social hours as each project demands. - compliant with health & safety Essential skills:

  • Good computer skills around MS office
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to report on scheduling and costs
  • Experienced in reading drawings & creating/reading artwork files Aptitude, skills and abilities
  • Working with an adaptable, flexible, accommodating attitude is a must and understanding the ever-changing demands of high end brands is essential.
  • Strong production skills and can work under pressure with often tight deadlines as part of a dedicated team.
  • Proven commitment and focus on production quality and creativity.

  • Ideally come from a proven event, theatrical or exhibition background at and have experience in production management of a broad range of production knowledge from conception through to execution.
