We have a brand-new opportunity for an architectural student to join Hydrock, now Stantec within their MEP team in London. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious architect looking to broaden their skills and gain insight into different engineering design disciplines as part of your training. We welcome applications from candidates seeking fixed term contracts as part of their degree or permanent contracts for someone looking for a change.

Its an exciting time to join our MEP team! We have a proven track record working within London, with exciting plans to double the size of our team over the next 12 months. Our team benefit from a brand-new central location (near Borough Market and the Shard) and enjoy working on a variety of projects including defence, healthcare, data centres and residential.

Your Role Will Include

We are looking to work with an architect who can bring our visual material to life, providing graphics support and making sure we stand out from the crowd. You will have a wide-ranging remit to work with the engineers and our CAD team to set up and develop models, assist in the coordinating between disciplines and make our documentation more attractive, impactful and improve our brand. This will also include:

  • Working alongside our engineering team to help enhance our visual material to give clarity of message and greater visual impact to our deliverables including bids & submissions, reports, and pamphlets & brochures.
  • Whilst this role sits within our MEP team, you can expect to work alongside several engineering disciplines to help with the development of our engineering schemes, communicating concepts through illustrations, diagrams, and models to our clients (including other architects).

To Succeed In This Role, You’ll Need

  • Relevant qualification within architecture, either as a Part 1 or Part 2 architect.
  • Confident with freehand sketching, CAD, and BIM software.
  • The passion to have new ideas, think outside the box and bring our designs/drawings to life.
