We're on the lookout for a dynamic and inspiring Lead Producer to join our Third-Party Production Department at Team17. Our Third-Party Production team is all about putting service and customer needs first. We're dedicated to meeting the needs of our development partners, tapping into top-tier talent from across Team17 to ensure their games shine in the market. What You'll Be Doing As a Lead Producer

As our Lead Producer, you'll get to work with a bunch of talented game developers from all over the world. You'll be promoting our mantra of "Your success is our success!" and leading a team of Producers in your very own Virtual Production Studio (VPS). Your leadership skills will be crucial for mentoring and problem-solving with Producers on their projects, as well as managing a major project yourself.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Overseeing Projects: Manage a big multiplatform product from its initial concept right through to release and beyond, handling live-ops if needed
  • Reporting: Keep track of multiple project statuses within your VPS and report accurately to the Department Head and other Team17 stakeholders
  • Collaborating with Developers: Work together to create realistic project plans, tackle risks early on, and plot key validation points for testing
  • Daily Scrums: Run daily scrums for your VPS, keeping tabs on any lingering or urgent issues
  • 1-on-1s: Hold regular 1-on-1 meetings with your team to make sure they're hitting their goals and staying on track
  • Milestone Reviews: Review project milestone reports and ensure the development statuses cited by Producers are accurate and fair
  • Problem Solving: Proactively address your team's project Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies to keep things moving smoothly
  • Project Management: Uphold (and teach) the highest Project Management standards, balancing quality, budget, and timelines
  • Mentorship: Support your team's career growth and recruit new talent as needed
  • Due Diligence: Contribute to the ongoing Product Due Diligence process to support our Game Scouting Team
  • Workshops: Participate in workshops to drive new processes and efficiency improvements


What We're Looking For

  • Experience: Proven success in Production within the games industry, across all current platforms
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong grasp of multiplayer cross-play gaming, game server client & P2P architecture, and live-ops. Bonus points for knowledge in analytics and KPIs.
  • Leadership: Emotional intelligence with the ability to lead, inspire, and motivate through excellent communication skills
  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely decisions, both solo and as part of a team
  • Hands-On: Ready to roll up your sleeves and work across all levels of Production
  • Clarity: Great at bringing clarity in uncertain situations
  • Agility: Able to juggle multiple tasks while keeping an eye on long-term goals
  • Project Management: Familiarity with modern methodologies like Agile (certification is a plus)
  • Team Leadership: Capable of leading a diverse team, including remote, hybrid, and contract workers, while maintaining a sense of inclusivity and support
  • Business Savvy: Knowledge of business operations including marketing, IP, contracts, cash flow forecasting, capex/opex, and P&L management
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Inspire an entrepreneurial attitude in others for the benefit of the whole team
