Interim Marketing and Revenue Director - High calibre hospitality brand
Head office (Oxfordshire) 3 days with 1 day at venues across the Midlands and 1-day wfh
Up to £130K base salary or day rate equivalent (circa £850)
This is a 6-month interim (to permanent) contract and we are open to applicants who are interested in a 6 month contract only, as well as those who may wish to do an interim to permanent contract.

The ideal candidate is a B2C, digital first Marketing Director who's worked in the leisure/travel, hospitality, retail or hotel sectors, who's excited by an interim to permanent role to lead a sizeable, capable marketing and revenue team.
Interim Marketing and Revenue Director
We are seeking a dynamic, driven and digital first Interim Marketing and Revenue Director to drive the next phase of growth for this high calibre hospitality brand. A broad role with a substantial team, the role involves a combination of brand awareness and ecommerce skills (sales are driven through the website). This role would suit an experienced strategic leader who can inspire the marketing and sales teams to continue to drive revenue and sustained profitable growth. With ultimate responsibility for the creation and delivery of the marketing and sales budgets, you’ll oversee all aspects of marketing and sales across both leisure and B2B. Reporting to the board, you will be responsible for managing the marketing budget, driving revenue growth, and enhancing brand presence in the market.
Along with revenue management, data analytics and insight, you will have a deep understanding of ecommerce and all things digital to further drive website performance and understand its critical role in sales success.

Main job responsibilities
Set commercial objectives and targets in line with the business strategy
Create, develop and implement the marketing and sales plan
Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring ROI on marketing investment
Oversee a team of 30+ vibrant and talented marketing and sales professionals, providing guidance and support to drive performance
Manage website and overall sales performance
Create a test and learn philosophy to drive digital performance across social, paid, organic, influencer, affiliate, and more
Drive revenue growth through new initiatives and revenue opportunities
Optimisation of price to maximise yield and revenue
Develop and utilise the database to support revenue growth
Balance day-to-day marketing activities with strategic revenue-focused initiatives
Demonstrate strategic thinking and commercial acumen in decision-making
Effective and efficient management of the sales team to streamline booking processes, upsell and enhance customer experience
Demonstrate expertise in ecommerce and digital marketing strategies to drive online sales and engagement
Cultivate brand positioning, consumer experience, and loyalty programs to enhance lifetime value
Close liaison with the operating GMs to drive customer experience, loyalty and sales
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify opportunities for growth and innovation
Educate, mentor, and develop team members to build a high-performing marketing and sales organisation
Person Specification:
Essential:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
Proven track record of success in senior marketing and sales leadership roles, ideally within the leisure/travel, hospitality, retail or hotel sectors
Strong understanding of online and bricks and mortar businesses
Excellent strategic planning and analytical skills to drive business growth
Extensive knowledge of ecommerce, digital marketing, and branding, with experience across various digital marketing channels (social, paid, organic, influencer, affiliate, etc.)
Proficient in revenue and yield management concepts and practices
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve ambitious business goals
Strong focus on innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement
Commitment to excellence, integrity, and customer satisfaction
