About the role:

We are looking for a strategic and innovative Head of Digital to drive our ecommerce and digital strategies on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role will be crucial in scaling our digital presence as we expand globally, optimising our online digital marketing channels, and ensuring a seamless and engaging customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing, e-commerce management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performance Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive paid digital marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and sales growth across multiple digital channels (e.g., Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, etc.).
  • E-commerce Management: Oversee the daily operations of the website and on-site developments, ensuring optimal performance, user experience, and conversion rates.
  • Performance Optimisation: Continuously analyse and optimise digital marketing campaigns and e-commerce activities to meet and exceed KPIs, including ROAS, CPA, and customer lifetime value.
  • Customer: Work closely with the CRM Manager to develop customer first strategies to drive retention and acquisition via both existing and new channels (i.e direct mail).
  • International: Drive go-to-marketing strategies across all digital outputs, identifying market opportunities to drive brand awareness and reach new audiences.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing digital marketing and e-commerce team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Agency Management: Create strategic plans in-line with budget and growth targets whilst maintaining and developing relationships to improve output and efficiencies.
  • Budget Management: Manage the digital marketing and e-commerce budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and maximising ROI. Responsible for digital P&L, working closely with finance to minimise costs and maximise profit.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilise data analytics and customer insights to inform decision-making and strategy development, ensuring a deep understanding of customer behaviour and market trends.
  • Collaborative Initiatives: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, Brand, Retail and Merchandising, to align digital strategies with overall business objectives and marketing campaigns.
  • Technology & Tools: Stay abreast of emerging digital marketing and e-commerce technologies, tools, and best practices, and implement them to enhance our digital capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in digital marketing and e-commerce leadership role for a D2C business, with a preference for experience at a contemporary womenswear brand.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing successful paid digital marketing campaigns and managing e-commerce platforms, preferably within the fashion or retail industry.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Proficient in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, Shopify, etc.) and e-commerce technologies.
  • Experience managing digital agencies to deliver on results.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends and experimenting with new digital marketing tactics.
