We are seeking a bright enthusiastic graduate engineer to train as a Graduate Software Engineer within a fast expanding robotics company. A 2.1 or higher in a technical degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar is ideally required, coupled with some experience of working with customers or clients.
Job Purpose of the Graduate Software Engineer
These positions require excellent numeracy, therefore you will need strong mathematics qualifications as Statistical Process Control is required.
We do not expect to find candidates fully experienced, rather those with capabilities, drive and ambition to develop into experts in one or more of the following areas:
Robots and automation
Digital manufacturing
Metrology
Software
The successful candidate will be a good people person as this is a customer facing role at times, where communication skills are essential. As they have a number of commercial partners, and post sales technical support is an element of the work.
Working in a small team you must be able to work independently to achieve agreed objectives.
You must be mobile with a full UK drivers license.
You should be capable of normal physical work (lifting and moving equipment in and out of cars / vans) and be prepared to help out wherever is required for successful delivery of projects.
This expanding company develop their own solutions, and therefore, the following skills/experiences will be of interest, but not all are essential as you will be fully trained:
Knowledge of Python, C# and Java
PLC programming
Project Planning (PERT, GANNT etc)
CATIA/Delmia/3DX
