Who’s the business

Zanda is partnering with a high growth international B2B Fintech business based in London. The scaleup in question has expanded their presence to 20+ countries and we are supporting them with the search to identify a first class Director of Finance to run end-to-end finance.

Reporting into a strategic CFO this role will be responsible for the development of a best in class, insightful and scalable finance function that is capable to deal with the demands of more than 3million daily transactions. The ideal candidate will have previously operated as a Head of Finance, Financial Controller or Finance Director within a high volume and high growth VC backed FinTech.

A key focus of the role in the first 6 months will require someone to be hands-on in implementing and developing the right technologies and systems to drive the quality of the finance information available. Following this period the successful candidate will posses the analytical and communicational skills to become a strategic partner to the business.

What experiences you will gain

• Being the technical accounting and controls lead in the company, ensuring everything from month end, AP, AR, reporting, audits, tax and filings happen on time and accurately
• Leading the FP&A function in providing timely and accurate business forecasting whilst building up a strong business partnering network to develop best-in-class analytics to drive decision-making
• Leading in the development of implementation and management of the appropriate finance technology feeding into Xero.
• Owning financial reporting and statutory audits across the entire group in line with modern IFRS standards whilst ensuring accuracy & timely production of both internal and external reporting
• Building a robust controls environment and managing a variety of technical, operational and project workstreams
• Managing, developing and further enhancing the finance team to support the continued fast pace international growth of the business
• Overseeing and guiding the financial operations team to create a highly automated and scalable processes

What background should you have before you press apply!

• Big four trained qualified (ACA/ACCA) accountant with payments, lending or financial services background
• Excellent experience in building best in class financial processes, systems and controls
• Ability to build relationships quickly and influence at a senior level
• Data driven individual with the ability to guide and develop team members to extract and analyse data to provide meaningful insights
• Ideally worked within a PE or VC backed business
• Desirable to have worked with a multi country / international business
