Riverside empowers creators and businesses to produce high-quality audio and video content. Since our launch, we have experienced rapid growth and are trusted by customers such as Spotify, The New York Times, NBC, CNN, and iHeartMedia.

We are looking for an Editor (or a Senior Content Writer with editing experience) to join our Marketing team and enhance our organic performance.

You’ll be responsible for the entire content creation process, from briefing external writers to editing, publishing, and distributing content.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Publishing: Brief, edit, and occasionally write various types of content (editorial, product, etc.) to improve organic traffic and conversions.
  • Quality Assurance: Apply and build on our stringent quality guidelines to ensure all content meets the highest standards.
  • Process Optimization: Shape the team’s content processes to ensure we meet set goals.
  • Strategy Implementation: Work from the existing organic strategy to identify topics and brief content to external writers.
  • Content Auditing: Review and upgrade existing content to ensure optimal results.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of freelance writers, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and cost optimization.
  • SEO Collaboration: Work with the Head of SEO to develop the content strategy, uncovering opportunities and gaps.
  • SEO Best Practices: Implement SEO best practices for each content piece.
  • Cross-team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to amplify results (e.g., influencers, product marketing, etc.).
  • Innovation: Propose and test new ideas.

Competitor Monitoring: Monitor competitor content activities and relevant communities to understand the landscape and stay ahead of developments.

Requirements:

Who You Are:

  • Skilled Editor/Writer: You are a highly skilled Editor with a solid grasp of how to create successful content.
  • Experience: You have hands-on experience working in a similar role (2+ years).
  • Data-Driven: You use various data and information sources to create content briefs and edit content.
  • Analytical: You can analyze competitor and performance data to identify content opportunities.
  • Managerial Experience: You have experience managing external writers and agencies.
  • Organized: You possess great organizational and project management skills.
  • SEO Knowledge: You understand how Google Search works and how to optimize content for it.
  • Proactive: You prefer to take initiative and address matters proactively.

Nice-to-have:

  • SEO and content strategy experience.
  • Familiarity with platforms like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Semrush, Clearscope, etc.
  • Previous experience in the audio/video/media industry.
  • Experience with Webflow.
