Business Development Manager - Electric Vehicles

Permanent role - UK

This role is remote based, ideally you will be based close to our offices - Leicestershire, Milton Keynes and or Camden, London. Please note there is also a requirement to travel to customer base across the UK.


The role:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for creating buy-in for the product vision for EV business for Royal Enfield, both internally and with key external partners. The incumbent will lead the development of the EV product and positioning strategies along with the Product Strategy Teams, manage scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact, drive product launches including working with the communications team, executives, and other product/brand/channel management.


Key responsibilities of the role will include;

  • Act as a product evangelist and an in-house EV expert with complete ownership of RE’s EV product channel, to build awareness and understanding.
  • Work closely with teams like EV regional/central, Product Strategy, Product Development, Brand Managers, Operations, Marketing and Commercial stakeholders to draw on your market insight, guide our strategic decisions, and shape how our business works to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that improve customer experience and drive growth.
  • Development of brand activations, channel partnerships including aspects of overseeing brand initiatives
  • Develop the channel network strategy, making them stable sales channels, motivated to introduce new products in the market
  • Create and execute an annual brand plan for Royal Enfield EV offerings to build brand awareness & aspiration through the brand’s positioning in priority markets.
  • Strategize, plan and lead the execution of brand portfolio strategy and develop relevant campaigns
  • Liaison with content & digital team to develop and disseminate communication for various initiatives
  • Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services.
  • Engaging our customers and bringing to life the benefits of using our electric vehicle solutions over traditional options.
  • Implement new systems or processes related to the management of EV Sales.


Qualifications/ Experience:

Ideally you will be degree educated - Ideally in Business Administration or a related field

You will have 5+ years relevant experience including at least 3+ years in the sales field of an automobile/motorcycle industry; 5+ years’ experience with regional sales area of an automobile/motorcycle industry
