    The 1947 Club exists primarily for the furtherance of the social and professional friendship formed in the RICS JO (matrics) and to give any help it can to Matrics. The Club is a very vibrant part of the north east’s surveying community. The majority of members work and live in Northumberland and County Durham.

Its membership includes all previous national office holders of the RICS Junior Organisation and its successor Matrics, as well as others who were active in the JO and support the Club's purposes.
