SUMMARY

I lead communications and external affairs at digital bank Zopa, the tech Unicorn founded in 2020 that raised $600 million from the investors of Uber, Slack and Alibaba to build Britain’s best bank.

In 6 months I quadrupled (4x) Zopa’s media coverage transforming it into the UK’s #1 most mentioned digital bank in the press.

I also crafted Zopa’s new narrative to support its transition from P2P lender to fully regulated bank, managed a $300 million fundraise from the Vision Fund, and mobilised a 60-strong industry coalition at pledge2025.org to combat the high cost of living.

I have 20 years of media experience as a reporter, political aide, and most recently at Milltown Partners advising some of Silicon Valley's most iconic technology businesses.

Experience includes working for Google, Facebook, Microsoft, WhatsApp, Dropbox, SoftBank, Plaid, Stripe, and the Obama-Biden campaign in Washington DC and Virginia.

In my last in-house role I was Global Communications Director at cross-border payments platform WorldRemit (150 countries, $20m users, $500m revenue). Engaging local regulators, in 3 years I launched WorldRemit in 45 new countries and increased media coverage by 40% ahead of IPO.

Previously I covered the 2008 economic crisis on behalf of international media and TV networks live from Athens, Greece, and served as on-the-record spokesperson in government.

Based in New York, I began my career at the United Nations monitoring the counter-terrorism legislation introduced in the aftermath of 9/11 by the UN Security Council.

I completed my postgraduate studies in Law and Diplomacy at the Fletcher School, Tufts University on a Fulbright scholarship sponsored by the US State Department. I also studied at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in Boston and at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business in California.

In my free time I mentor early stage tech startups and speak at industry events about organisational change and LGBT+ inclusion.

I was born in France, raised in Greece, and lived in 7 capitals in the world. Based in London since 2015.
