The annual awards ceremony, run by hospitality magazine The Caterer, at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge saw hundreds of industry colleagues attend the glitzy, black-tie event last Friday. The awards recognise the individual trailblazers and innovative companies that go above and beyond.

Fighting off stiff competition from some of the most inventive hospitality stars, BaxterStorey At Home was awarded the Innovation Award to a standing ovation. Headed up by head of food and marketing, Greg Bramwell, the team launched BaxterStorey At Home in November 2020, a custom-built web platform designed to deliver food experiences to the homes of our teams and customers, keeping them connected during the pandemic.

The judges praised the team for their impressive ability to create a virtual community through virtual masterclasses, finish-at-home kits and grocery gift boxes, to bridge the gap between home workers and those returning to offices. After just three months of operating, the team expanded the website into a membership model; offering the service to clients with the option to rebrand the website to a bespoke model for their own gifts and food kits to be sold.

Commenting on their win, Greg said: “This started as a small idea during the pandemic to connect our fantastic suppliers with our customers in their homes. It was our way of playing a part in helping to keep the industry afloat during a tough period. I’m so proud of the team for their enthusiasm and constant flow of new ideas to grow the business, and I’m blown away by their success. We have some exciting plans in the pipeline for BaxterStorey At Home in partnership with some great suppliers, so watch this space!”
