Here's how you can build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders as a project coordinator.
Understanding the key stakeholders, their needs, aspirations, and limitations is critical for the delivery of any successful project - whether it be an infrastructure project within construction, retrofit, or services-based. The success of any project is at the planning stage. What is required, who needs to be consulted, who and what does it affect, and how do we collaborate towards shared goals rather than create competing factions within a project is the skill of the project manager to bring all this together in a collaborative way.

What do you do if your efforts to promote renewable energy are falling on deaf ears?
its effects are collective problems. Collective problems require collective solutions. They need individuals, companies and organisations to come together to develop solutions. They require group action and motivation for us to succeed. But perhaps the best way of framing this is what an alternative – renewable – future could look like. A more equitable and sustainable future, for our children and us, is within our own gift and tangible, which can be achieved if we work together towards it. The key to overcoming intransigence, overcoming our own “human” obstacles, is through storytelling. Through is developing a narrative around hope and progress and what we can achieve if we work together. It’s what humans do best.

What does a project coordinator do?
Communication skills are essential regardless of the industry. Taking prople along with you through continnual dialogue, but as important continnual listening, because communication is a two way street. And if you can manage the human resources - their skills, experience and sometimes their egos as well as their differences - towards a goal this is the value of that skill. Facilitating debate to achieve concensus is often undervalued and it shouldn't be because ultimately managing projects involves managing humans.

Each home will have conventional radiators fed from the new central boiler, which will also provide instant hot water to each property. External insulation is also being fitted to the homes, to improve their energy rating and thermal performance.
