Cavonix holds the core IP and capabilities for intelligent autonomous mobility. At it's heart is a proprietary development environment, CavLab that enables rapid agile development and integration into various vehicle types. The architecture provides a complete technology stack (sensors, autonomous control system & and integration with a vehicle's steering, brakes and throttle.) Its key USPs for a vehicle manufacturer are effective, low cost, adaptable and easily integrated. The system can use various different types of sensors and incorporates 4d radar and optical units with edge processing of data, reducing latency and improving system response to object detection. It is ideal for off-highway movement of people and goods.
My role was to prepare Cavnoix for investment, which included getting the cap table formalised along with founders agreements and obtaining advanced EIS. We prepared the business for a crowd cube raise but decided to target UK angel investors initially. The business had limited pre-revenues from one-off projects and larger VCs who wanted monthly recurrent revenues.
Following the acquisition of Westfield Technology Group by the founder in Sept 2022, Evie Autonomous was created. This was to be a key customer Cavonix. I then helped define commerical strategy and brought in relevant experts including a world-class experienced Chief Operating Officer to develop the board. We considered the market opportunities and developed the business plan which was used to secure interest from a NASDAQ listed entity for Evie to combine with, providing it with access to the deepest liquidity technology market in the world.
