This role encompasses:

*Signing up new and current members to a Memorandum of Understanding and establishing a new governance model for CIFC;
*Working with members to implement the new Statement of Purpose and establish related workstreams which include: adopting good grant-making approaches; identifying and implementing good and promising practice; leveraging the heft and expertise of the CIFC to influence local, regional, and national legislation, policy, and practice; and delivering a robust and vibrant funding model for the women’s social sector;
*Coordinating the development and implementation of a work plan to meet agreed outcomes, including strengthening communications and collaboration with and between members and external stakeholders;
*Ensuring there is an adequate budget for administrative, governance, and communications support and developing an equitable funding model for the Coalition;
*Line management of the CIFC Development Coordinator; and

Advisers are established experts in their fields and bring together diverse perspectives from academia, policymaking, and the third sector.

This role involves:

*Helping steer the work of the Women’s Budget Group related to the expertise area of women’s justice;
*Providing insights on the impacts of economic and social policy related to gender equality; and
*Formulating informed policy positions and recommendations as part of the Women’s Budget Group research and their responses to fiscal events such as the Budget. Show less

*Overseeing a £6m research programme at the University of Birmingham and associated women’s centres seeking to transform the evidence base available to women’s specialist organisations to demonstrate their effectiveness and achieve greater outcomes for women with complex needs, through validating and implementing the Women’s Risk Needs Assessment (WRNA);
*Supporting the development of a whole system approach for women in the West Midlands;
*Leading policy and influencing activities with governmental stakeholders to ensure the voices of women’s centres and women with lived experience of the criminal justice system are heard and heeded;
*Identifying and responding to blockages in the system through targeted grant funding seeking to tackle the hardest-to-solve problems, including substance use, women’s imprisonment, and coalition building for the women’s sector; and

In 2017, ChildFund Alliance; Plan International; Save the Children International; SOS Children’s Villages International; Terre des Hommes International Federation; and World Vision International joined forces in a CEO-led initiative to push for renewed political commitments to and accountability for children’s rights and an end to violence against children. Joining Forces agencies are committed to supporting children to raise their voices, to take action as agents of change and to hold us to account, ensuring children’s experiences and views shape the solutions for the problems they face. The role required setting up the Global Secretariat for the Alliance and developing and implementing the alliance strategy running across twenty-three countries.

The role encompassed:

*Writing and manging a budget of over €400,000, funding the global Secretariat and disbursing funds to initial country-led programme activities;
*Supporting the CEOs, Country Offices, Steering Teams and Working Groups to develop strategies and activities which help deliver on agreed goals;
*Implementing and administering appropriate project cycle management tools to support the efficient and effective delivery of project activities and outputs and monitoring and evaluation of impact;
*Facilitating development of work plans, ensuring ownership and agreement across stakeholders;
*Organising and participating in governance meetings, including bi-annual Steering Team and CEO meetings;
*Project managing the production of Joining Forces core documents and content;
*Identifying new ways of working to improve productivity and effectiveness for a global team;
*Maintaining and improving procedures to track, record, and report on income and expenditure;
*Working alongside various stakeholders to ensure the compliance with relevant policies and procedures; and

Whilst finishing my master's degree I was hired by Body & Soul, a London-based HIV charity providing holistic programming to women and families living with or affected by HIV, to head up the Fundraising & Partnerships Department.

Whilst at university, I helped deliver the government’s National Citizen Service a group of 16-17 years through a structured three-week programme to engage them in their community. Acting as mentor for the group throughout the experience, I also liaised with stakeholders in the community who were involved in the project; and supported in the monitoring and evaluation of the project.
