How can you help your team deliver an unforgettable presentation at a trade show?
In my experience running large events, when presentations land badly it’s mainly down speakers not knowing the audience - and I mean understanding their motivations, the context of why they’re there and a deep understanding of what would inspire them/ help them in their day to day role. Prioritise them rather that what you want to say to them. If you’re coming at it from the angle of empathy with the audience, immediately it will improve your speech. Humour, authenticity and candidness go a long way - and humility around what went wrong / how you overcame problems goes so much further than polished and “safe” talks. These are always the highest rated sessions. Finally - share clear takeouts: what should the audience do? Stop doing? Try?
