About

Having led digital strategy on a wide range of client's across my career has allowed me to grow and develop my media skillset holistically across programmatic, search and social. Working across a wide range of clients in my time, from TELCO, finance, auto, B2B businesses to fashion, luxury and parenting - I am able to understand client's needs with a breadth and depth of knowledge. I am able to both plan and execute digital strategy for clients via large team management, while retaining practical activation expertise in DV360, GA360 and Amazon DSP.

A familiar face on panels, I've spoken at the IAB programmatic summit, Mediatel and Permuative's 'Make Possible' event.

I am responsible for driving all of the in house programmatic activation, ensuring day to day quality comes along side long term ambition. Ensuring day to day intelligence and initiatives are constantly driven back into the account. Above daily needs and overseeing campaign consistency a large part of my role is to conceive of and deliver on bigger and more ambitious programmatic projects. These include test and learn strategy, roadmap, cross team integration and partner innovation. This has been delivered most notably in the form of extensive testing for autobid and custom algorithm bid strategies using DV360.

This heavily client facing role demands extensive knowledge and implementation of: cohesive programmatic strategy, GDPR compliance, tagging and TMS integration, remarketing solutions, performance driven optimizations, best practice integration, display and test & learn roadmap.

Learning skills sets to fulfill client needs - from finance, auto and B2B to fashion, luxury and parenting - I am able to understand client's needs with a breadth and depth of knowledge acquired through working on every client in the agency.

In an increasingly Client facing roll I have crafted my presentation skills to enable me to deliver a compelling story around programmatic content - which in the wrong hands can bore and disengage audiences. Communicating the complex, exciting and innovative features of programmatic media in a way that is engaging and meaningful is something I am able to do with confidence.

Managing the expectations, understandings and varying pressures of the client - trade desk relationship is another area of my roll which continues to grow. Being able to effectively mediate between a number of parties to deliver tangible end results is a skills set I have honed and continues to be abother key focus of my role. This is demonstrated through increasing programmatic investment in the company through presentations, RFI and RFPs. This is something which I have successfully achieved with impressive, quantifiable results.

On top of these technical skills I have been able to build a range of diplomatic and management techniques which have helped me develop both as a team player and a team leader.

Another key area of my role is to understand and make sense of the large volumes of data created by campaigns. Drawing meaningful three dimensional insights from campaign analysis and condensing this into a useful, informative and visually coherent presentation is another skill I have been able to refine in my roll. For this I have had to build a strong knowledge of how to use MediaMath, Mathclarity, Excell and DCM.

Building insightful programmatic plans is something with which I have repeatedly been successful at within my role. I understand that pushing for innovation while maintaining a bedrock of proven techniques, all within the limitations of a given budget, is essential to providing effective and progressive plans.

Day to day as part of the programmatic engagement team I have to troubleshoot, optomise and manage issues queries and requests coming from the wider team. Ensuring that activity is set live on time and continues to run smoothly is a key feature in my roll.

Fulfilling all of these rolls across a very wide number of clients across the agency - all with their own needs, preferences and technicalities - has meant that I have quickly and successfully been able to understand and implement my knowledge and understanding of programmatic planning, buying and optomisation.

Negotiating advertising space on behalf of clients and ensuring that publications to arrive on time and in budget is another skill I have developed at EMG. I am also able to quickly and competently write press releases that are informative and engaging.

Ensuring that brand specific, competitor and general market research is completed with rigour and compiled in a meaningful manner is another key skill that I have perfected as an Account Executive at EMG.

I have also gained experience in dealing with customer complaints on behalf of clients through email, ensuring that issues are dealt with an appropriate tone of voice. Meeting clients to discuss product and finalise details in with a professional, flexible and attentive demeanour is another aspect of my role that I am developing at EMG.

    • Thoroughly managing outreach and spreadsheet projects for a range of clients.
    • Working under pressure whilst maintaining a professional demeanor.
    • Acknowledging team importance while accounting for my own decisions and responsibilities.

Working on the more creative projects demonstrates that, alongside being verbally proficient, I am visually articulate and able to quickly conceive of and create an effective piece of visual communication. On top of this I was able to practice and perfect my presentation skills by presenting my work to the creative director and head of planning at the end of my project.

Huge thanks to everyone at nonsense for everything I learnt there, a fantastic team of creative, professional and dedicated people

Telco Client 'EE' wanted to increase their share of the market and lower the price they paid per conversion in the programmatic space. While launching their summer mobile promotion, they wanted to use programmatic buying to showcase their variety of handsets alongside improving CPA.

At Essence I lead the strategic direction and practical implementation of the test campaign which compared fixed-bid (set price auction) against auto bidding (dynamically changing bidding based on the likelihood the individual bid will perform well). The results were outstanding. EE’s June campaign proved automated bidding produces better results across the board compared to traditional fixed bid approaches. All device manufacturer campaigns were able to reduce their CPA and increase the volume of conversions with auto bidding.

We worked closely with our client and our programmatic partners at Google to ensure there were no missed opportunities in this test, and together we used machine learning to lower EE's CPA by -52%, a phenomenal achievement.
