What is the best way to develop a pricing strategy for a luxury product?
The concept of psychographics and focusing on the mindset of individuals in the target market cannot be overemphasised when considering the pricing of luxury. It would be useful to break it down to the segments of the market as well. Those who purchase for the love of the rare and unique may belong to a different segment to those who are purchasing luxury items for status and self-esteem. Whichever way you approach it, luxury pricing cannot be determined purely by the cost of production but also by perception. Many would consider this key to developing a pricing strategy.

How can you overcome resistance to change when introducing a corporate entrepreneurship initiative?
Most people have pointed this out already: entrepreneurial thinking and behaviours are a combination of skills that some may argue are innate or acquired by learning and observation. If it is innate, it typically involves the willingness to take risks, be a visionary leader and develop new ideas. The leader who has innate ability, would need to find a way to imbibe the spirit in the team by sharing the vision clearly and encouraging them to explore, by taking small steps and then greater leaps forward.

Mandela Mile is an annual observance of global leadership that runs between 08 April and 18 July (Kofi Annan and Nelson Mandela’s birthdates respectively). It is a designated time period for remembering and celebrating these two legendary world leaders, whilst stepping up more powerfully as leaders in our own lives and communities.
Year round, Mandela Mile is committed to nurturing a community of natural leaders worldwide, who are inspired, ready to speak out and rebuild our world. -
