A couple of weeks ago, my fantastic colleagues from K2 Management and I had the opportunity to visit ZX Lidars new production facility in Malvern in the UK. This experience significantly enhanced our team's awareness and understanding of how LiDAR technology can be utilised in measurement campaigns for the benefit of our Clients, as well as the intricacies of their assembly and deployment on site 👷♀️ The factory tour was incredibly valuable, allowing us to witness the meticulous, high-quality processes involved in manufacturing these wind measurement devices.   A big thank you 👏🏻 to Matt Smith, John Medley and my colleagues at K2 Management for the engaging discussions about the future of LiDAR technology. I'm excited to see the next steps in their journey! 🌠 #RenewableEnergy

📣 ZX Measurement Services are seeking a Wind Measurement Technician on a 12 month Internship to join their team in Scotland. The Measurement Services team have over 70 years' experience providing invaluable in field services to clients utilising modern remote sensing devices, including ZX wind #Lidars. This hands-on role will provide the successful candidate with invaluable experience of the #renewableenergy industry and the opportunity to gain an understanding of resource assessment and #windmeasurement technologies.

👏 At #WindTech24 it was great to see Energia present a poster on using #Lidars as an alternative to wind farm permanent meteorological masts. We collaborated with them and EirGrid Group to conduct an extensive trial to assess the feasibility of using our ZX 300 #Lidar which showed impressive results: ➡ 98% data delivery rate ➡ 5% improvement in wind speed forecasting accuracy 👏 This has led to the ZX 300 now being accepted as an alternative to a permanent met mast on wind farms in Ireland. Olsen 1848 and partners have developed an advanced framework to stabilize single point moored floating wind turbines while optimizing the positioning against the wind thrust for increased energy production. This framework optimizes wind alignment by mitigating yaw drift, resulting in increased power production, uptime and reliability, and an optimized structural design.
