It's election 🗳️ day in UK 🇬🇧. Nicole, Yapily's VP for Product Strategy, Operations and Policy, has penned a LinkedIn post calling on the new government entering No 11 to put an end to the regulatory limbo that's hindering the growth of the sector. Please comment, share and engage as we are all in this together! #UKelection #OpenBanking #OpenFinance #Policy
Open Banking is driving competition, innovation and choice in banking. But the UK is standing still. Whoever wins the election this Thursday will face a huge intray, but should make time for this vital area which has been in regulatory limbo for a while now. As Europe’s leading infrastructure provider in the sector we were happy when asked to step up and fund the interim open banking entity alongside 20 other fintechs, challenger banks and high street banks. But this is only a stopgap measure - we need more certainty about the future of Open Banking if we are to truly reap the benefits. Access to Open Banking has been growing but the route to full adoption is still littered with challenges. Yapily is pleased to work with some of the biggest names in UK and European banking, as well as global payment companies. But there are some companies and banks that are still trying to gatekeep the sector. This is why we urgently need bold action and proactive regulation that empowers. 🛍️ Expansion of commercial VRP for e-commerce 💸 Fraud prevention approach that doesn’t slow down or stop legitimate payments 📉 Joined up data sharing across the ecosystem, particularly across fraud initiatives ✅ Universal adoption of new payment statuses and error codes, along with other improvements to provide the best user experience ⚖️ Legislative underpinning for a future entity Let’s unlock a new era of financial freedom for consumers and merchants everywhere. #openbanking #fintech #VRP #innovation

The Yapily Summer Party 🥳 took place last Friday. From a tug-of-war between the engineering team and others to Cypriot "fetch the towel" and ultimate frisbee🥏games, it was a day full of fun, laughter, and team bonding. The evening was topped off with a BBQ 🍔 & beer 🍻 with music 🎶 in Regents park. Some colleagues from Lithuania 🇱🇹 referred to it as the Yapily festival!🧑🎤 Next #FinTech Glastonbury? Massive thanks to Marcel van Oost for recommending Yapily's State of Payments report to his followers and the #FinTech community.
What is 𝗣𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸? And what are the benefits? Let me connect the dots for you: "Pay by Bank" is a fast and easy payment method enabled by open banking, where customers can make online purchases directly from their bank account and easily authenticate the payment through their bank's mobile app or online banking platform. In the picture below 👇 you can find an overview of reasons why Open Banking "Pay by Bank" is a solution in Payments for businesses as well as consumers. What do you think is the biggest benefit? And do you think “Pay by Bank” is going to the next big thing in Payments? I highly recommend downloading and reading the complete #fintechreport by Yapily which I used as the source for this overview for more interesting info on this topic: https://lnkd.in/gKb8B4ad Find this helpful? [ 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 ] Anything to add about this subject? [ 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 ] Nice story, Marcel. Next! [ 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 ]

Did you participate in yesterday's panel session on Open Banking and API Ecosystems: Shaping Collaborative Finance at MoneyNext? Fantastic contributions by Pablo V. and David McHenry. Today's discussion on Unlocking Growth: BaaS, Embedded Finance, and the API Economy was equally as good by Ishtiaq Ahmed and Vinita Ramtri If you have any questions about how open banking can support your product innovation or where you fit in the API ecosystem, don't hesitate to pop by stand P8 and speak with James Glynne-Percy or Ben Torr. #OpenBanking #APIEconomy #DigitalEconomy
