The #Inside23 winners across the workplace categories, showcased innovative ideas and design excellence in commercial spaces. The winner of Workplace (small), the Link Lab creative offices are a multi-use space for various creative agencies, architects and designers with an industrial-style aesthetic. Making outstanding use of space, the @mcsaatchigroup offices in Sydney, winner of Workplace (large), have been given a sumptuous overhaul. Which project will be awarded the prestigious World Building of the Year prize at #WAF24? In 2023, the coveted title went to the Huizhen High School by Approach Design Studio in collaboration with Zhejiang University of Technology Engineering Design Group. Situated in the urban area of Ningbo in eastern China, the 'efficiency-first campus' and boarding school features a rooftop park, treehouses and elevated walkways. Stay tuned to hear more about the projects that make the #WAF24 shortlist in a few weeks time.

Calling all design students – there's still time to submit your proposals for the #WAF24 student charrette by 21 June. Focused on the theme ‘Tomorrow’ the charrette, which is supported by @BroadwayMalyan, focuses on aspects of built environment futures. Teams are invited to identify a building, place, neighbourhood or landscape which would benefit from a radical intervention. Up to eight student teams, comprising up to six students and two teachers, will be invited to take part in the charrette at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore in November. We can’t wait to see you there!

Last week the judging took place for this year’s #WAF24 and #INSIDE24 Shortlist! Here we share some photos from the #WAF24 judging process, where judges came together to review the vast selection of entries. The WAF entries are categorised into Completed Buildings, Future Projects and Landscapes and the shortlisted finalists in each category will be announced next month. Visitors to the World Architecture Festival will see all projects presented live on stage in Singapore this November.
