Mayor Dan Norris welcomes the King's Speech that empowered Mayoral Combined Authorities to deliver economic growth, saying: "The government has offered regions the powers Mayors have been asking for and here in the West, we will seize the opportunity and deliver economic growth that will benefit everyone. It is great to see a government agenda that will introduce new protections for people at work and invest in public transport and sustainable energy and set clear safeguards for the environment". #WestofEnglandMayor #MayorDanNorris #WestofEngland #Regionalupdates #Economicgrowth

We loved being a part of West of England Combined Authority's Careers Hub Conference’s yesterday - all centred around inclusion and empowering students with SEND. Our Director Daniel Biddle brought his expertise to the panel and delivered three fantastic workshops. It was wonderful to share our mission to build the future of work with neurodiversity in mind with educators and careers professionals. Thank you and well done to everyone involved 👏 #inclusivity #future #neurodiversity #education #careers

📰 With onshore wind in the news - learn the story behind England's tallest, and community owned, onshore wind turbine! ⚡ In 2021, we awarded Ambition Community Energy (ACE) CIC £500,000 in grant funding for their wind #turbine in Avonmouth, Bristol. This fantastic grassroots project, developed by the local community in Lawrence Weston, is making a big difference in the West of England. The ACE turbine is generating surplus income from selling #electricity, and all that money goes back to Ambition Lawrence Weston. These funds support their Community and Climate plan, helping to tackle fuel poverty and work towards #netzero in the region.
