It’s 06:30 I get into the taxi and the driver starts talking to me… First thought… come on man it’s early, are we really doing this!? (Introvert in my headed is screaming and crying all at the same time) so my head goes down into my phone. He opens up with a question. He asked…what do you do? Follow up question…do you find that gives you the flexibility you need? I’m now intrigued, phone gets put down and we enter into a conversation. He is 28, a graduate and works a part time IT job and Taxi’s. He said it provides him with the freedom and flexibility he desires. I dig a bit deeper. He is clearly very bright, he is a graduate (not that this is a prerequisite to brightness…keyboard warriors 😉 🫣) Turns out he has had a “corporate” “career” job before but left because his employer threw the policy book at him when he suffered a bereavement… 2 weeks and back to work… no time taken to understand this man, what he was going through and likely still going through. It was enough for him to leave. But this made him think about what was important to him, this is the order as described (I think the order is v important) 1. Sustaining a living that creates the nutrients to live life, care for family, smell the roses along the way. 2. A career with flexibility and trust. He hasn’t got an aversion for a corporate job, in fact he was intrigued about the concept of career, I could see a person trying to figure out his place in the world and how he could become successful. One thing was 100% clear to me though, whatever he did needed to tie into point 1 👆 There was no mention of accumulation of wealth, a big house, a car.. anything of this nature at all. He seemed happy. Engaged with life. 🤔

A private equity firm approached us to help them find two highly skilled executives to support their transformation agendas. It was a challenging task as the client required the incoming executives to be bilingual, possessing diverse leadership experiences and outstanding influencing skills. Our team didn't just narrow down the industry's top performing 500 executives to two, but also developed a programme to engage with high-potential executives in a longer-term conversation. Find out how we did it here: https://lnkd.in/e25Fqer2 If you're looking to hire your next leader or find your next leadership role, reach out to our team at: https://lnkd.in/eknYanpH #InX #executivesearch #interimmanagement #Leadership #csuite

We're deeply saddened to share the news that Richard Skipper, our friend & colleague at Investigo & The IN Group since 2009 passed away last Friday after a short battle with pancreatic cancer
It is with great sadness, that I share the news that our dear friend and colleague, Richard Skipper, passed away peacefully in his sleep last Friday morning after his short battle with pancreatic cancer. Since joining Investigo, back in 2009, Skipper has enjoyed a brilliant career at Investigo/TIG, and has helped shape the business and culture that you see today. He will be missed by everyone who knows him and will be remembered as one of the kindest, most caring and genuine people that you could ever meet. He was genuinely one of the nicest guys around and a true legend of our business. He really will be missed and we were so lucky to have Skipper as a friend and colleague. On a personal level, Skipper was a great friend and someone who would always go the extra mile for you, but would expect nothing in return. He was selfless and loved working for our business. I have enjoyed countless trips, walks and general conversations with him and have always appreciated his council. I will miss him dearly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Nicola, and his 3 children – Ollie, Tilly and Ned, during this incredibly tough time. His family have set up a fundraising page in Skipper’s memory for Martlets - https://lnkd.in/emUdFtuf

The recent surge in new technology and the growing presence of generative AI are increasing. The "Tech & the Boardroom" survey by The IN Group revealed that 62% of c-suite leaders are now prioritising the hiring of AI experts to harness the potential of advancing AI technology in the business world. With the rise of generative AI comes the need to weigh the associated risks and rewards. Some organisations are cautious about utilising Gen AI due to concerns about privacy, security, and copyright infringement. To mitigate these risks, organisations are introducing rules and regulations. #Technology #Linkedinpoll #GenerativeAi #AI #Business #Innovation #Data #Csuite Graham Pile, Natalie Whittlesey, Chris Seel, Terry Dawson, James Lawson, Dan Manton, Matt Smith
