A great example of highlighting #changingplaces toilets for visitors for #ChangingPlacesAwarenessDay #CPAD #CPAD2024! Love the map!
Today is #ChangingPlacesAwarenessDay - Changing Places UK ❤ Standard accessible toilets meet the needs of some disabled people – but not all. Over 250,000 people in the UK need personal assistance to use the toilet or change continence pads, including people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, spinal injuries and people living with stroke. There are 21 registered Changing Places facilities across Worcestershire. Access for all is very important and we've put together a helpful graphic to help assist with organising family days out in Worcestershire. Changing Places facilities are located at the following Worcestershire attractions. - West Midlands Safari Park - Attwell Farm Park - Malvern Theatres - National Trust - Croome Court - All Things Wild For the full list of publicly accessible Changing Places facilities, visit - https://lnkd.in/g9jG4M7Z VisitEngland Ross Calladine #tourism #visitoreconomy #worcestershire

Plum Pictures are producing a new series on Quest that will see James May team up with the Facebook phenomenon Dull Men’s Club. This series will see James and the club answer some very particular and unusual questions... 🎬🤔 We facilitated filming on the streets of Redditch, so keep your eyes peeled later this year on Quest for its release! 🎥 📸: IMDb #jamesmay #filmmaking #filmproduction #behindthescenes #MyWorcestershire

All in a day's work at VisitEngland... I really enjoyed presenting on sustainability at the Visit Worcestershire networking event 'Building a Sustainable Future for Tourism' at West Midlands Safari Park. The common challenge of retrofitting renewables to historic properties was raised - something I'm keen to pool knowledge on. Though we also heard about success stories, including @AstleyVineyard who shared their amazement (and joy) at seeing electricity bills fall to a tenth of what they were two years ago following a major investment in solar power. I was then shown around the park by the extremely knowledgeable @BethanDavis who was able to tell me about the many environmental initiatives underway and introduce me to some of the park's smaller residents. I think the presence of a live representative really enhances the signage! Thank you Dominique Bray for the invitation

Thank you to all those all attended our networking session this morning on sustainability at Spring Grove House, West Midlands Safari Park 🌿 It was great to hear industry insight from Rachel McCaffery, Sustainability Lead at VisitEngland on how environmental change is impacting tourism and changing customer behaviour. As well as the support on offer from the Net Zero team at Worcestershire County Council - https://lnkd.in/edhREYTv Our next event is our Summer Social & Film Office Meet on Thursday 1st August - https://lnkd.in/ezNHJj_3 #worcestershire #tourism

📣 😋 Taste Worcestershire is coming this autumn! We're inviting all local restaurants and food & drink producers to take part in Taste Worcestershire. A new celebration event to showcase the region's culinary excellence, taking place between 7th – 27th October! 👏 Worcestershire has a proud tradition of growers and great food producers. After the success of local campaigns which included Taste Worcester and A Taste of Bromsgrove, a county-wide initiative is set to unleash a variety of unmissable offers and set menus. Businesses from across the sector are urged to get involved and showcase their local produce and dining experiences. Businesses will benefit from increased brand visibility, attracting new customers and coming together with an exciting new offer to elevate Worcestershire’s food and drink story.
