Even with nearly a century of experience between them, a trio of farm clinical directors have proved they’re open to new ideas to help create a bright future for their practice. Finbarr Kiernan, Stuart Gough and Alistair Crozier say their eyes have been opened, and they have felt inspired from participating on the VetPartners senior farm leaders course. We’re committed to creating a great place to work and supporting practice leaders who want to learn new skills and discover fresh ideas. Find out more here how we’re sharing knowledge, ideas and experience across the VetPartners family to help everyone thrive. #wearefamily #culture #veterinary #vets #farmvets #support #collaboration https://lnkd.in/egjiPxaE

Farming is often cited as a major contributor to climate change and other environmental impacts. Feeding a growing population is a challenge, and will only become more difficult if we don’t tackle climate change and increasing environmental concerns. Vets, as farmers’ most trusted advisors, have a huge role to play in supporting sustainable and regenerative farming practices. In a new article on our website, VetPartners Farm Director Ian Cure explains why farming sustainably is vital to allow us to continue to produce food for a growing population whilst reducing the impact on the planet. To celebrate #WorldWellbeingWeek, colleagues from Stanley House Vets in Lancashire and Ashlands Veterinary Centre in Yorkshire joined forces to embrace all things self-care at a special wellness event funded by VetPartners. The day was filled with invigorating fitness classes, calming yoga and meditation, and a fun protein pancake making session along with talks and workshops to encourage colleagues to get thinking about different approaches to maintaining a positive wellbeing. Supporting the wellbeing of our colleagues is at the heart of everything we do, and funding wellness events is one of the many ways we support colleagues across our practices and animal healthcare businesses💚 To find out more and to view photos from the wellness event, head to the VetPartners website: https://bit.ly/3L22BXk #worldwellbeingweek #wellbeing #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #veterinary #veterinarycommunity #team #collaboration #vet #vetnurses #receptionists #support

We have proudly donated £16,376 to Vetlife from our annual Month of Movement fundraising event - the most successful ever 👏 Throughout May, our colleagues from across Europe participated in a range of different physical activities, including running, walking, climbing, cycling and even roller-skating, and in return VetPartners donated £4 for every hour of movement completed 🏃♀️ 🚶♀️ 🚴♂️ 🏔 Thanks to their amazing efforts, we raised a magnificent total of £50,388 after colleagues were active for a combined total of 12,597 hours 👏 Of the final total, £28,867 was donated to World Land Trust, an international conservation charity that protects the world’s most threatened habitats and species. The remaining amount raised was split between several European charities – and Vetlife was chosen by colleagues here in the UK. Vetlife offers emotional support to everyone in the veterinary community via their independent, confidential 24/7/365 helpline. Research carried out by VetPartners could play an important part in shaping the future roles of equine nurses. As part of its Project NURSE initiative, which aims to help nurses enjoy rewarding and fulfilling careers, VetPartners surveyed owners to find out their views on nurses providing ambulatory care to their horses. The results were positive, with a high number of clients saying they would be comfortable with nurses visiting their horses, under the direction of a vet.
