We plan to offer a range of other services to members in Germany in time, including invoicing, accounting features, and eventually credit. Commenting on the launch, Tide’s CEO, Dr. Oliver Prill said: "Tide has a deep understanding of the pain points of the self-employed and freelancers - and we are here to help reduce these financial and admin management burdens with our business financial platform. Anna’s appointment will help drive Tide’s growth ambitions in Germany. In May, we went live with our product in Germany. We’ve plans to introduce invoicing, accounting features, and credit solutions gradually to German members. Our German presence follows a rich legacy in the UK, where we have more than 600,000 SMEs. In India, Tide has grown to host 275,000 micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs on its platform since launching in December 2022. International Women in Engineering Day is this Sunday, and this year's theme is "Enhanced by Engineering." 🗓️ 💻 To mark this day dedicated to highlighting and celebrating women in engineering, we spoke to our wonderful international team to learn more about their experiences and to gather advice for the new generation looking to study engineering. 💬 Speaking to Lauren Henry, our VP of Engineering, she shared: “In leading multiple engineering teams, I see firsthand how we create a brighter future for our members around the world by building products that make their lives easier. On a daily basis, I am inspired by the passion, intelligence, and dedication of our teams to deliver value to small business owners. Having a diverse team that brings different experiences and perspectives is essential to our success. I encourage women who are interested in problem-solving, challenging the status quo, and exploring their creativity to consider stepping into the engineering industry!" The Women’s Engineering Society was formed on the 23rd of June, 1919. More than a century later, we celebrate the women disrupting engineering and reaffirm the importance of continuing to promote gender equality in the field.
