Yesterday, a Sunday Times investigation found that retailers are being hit by significant employee theft problems which is costing them an estimated £3 billion a year. This investigation, which built on our own research published with Retail Economics in November 2023, includes evidence from the trials of many former employees being prosecuted. Emmeline Taylor, a professor at City, University of London, and the host of Retail Crime Uncovered said "the existence of high levels of employee theft has become the elephant in the room" for UK retail. Safe Skies’ Airport Security System Integrated Support Testing (ASSIST) Program is a collaborative effort between US commercial-service airports, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Airports Council International-North America, American Association of Airport Executives, and Airport Consultants Council. Safe Skies created the ASSIST Program to fulfill its core purpose of helping airport operators meet their security responsibilities using a transparent process for identifying, selecting, and executing projects that are designed to create a more efficient and effective airport security system.
