🏆 Tutor Co-Pilot - our AI tutor evaluation tool - has received a grant award from Innovate UK! 🏆 This award will allow us to accelerate our progress towards offering all our tutors real-time feedback, training and development for every tutoring session they deliver. Excitingly, it will also enable us to develop Tutor Co-Pilot as a tool for our peers in the wider online tutoring sector to benefit from as well. Our work on Tutor Co-Pilot builds on the foundation that we've been developing since 2013; developing robust processes for evaluating tutoring sessions and using those insights to help tutors reflect, develop and improve, enabling them to deliver maximum impact for their students.🔁 Tutor Co-Pilot allows us to evaluate 100% of our tutoring sessions in real-time. It provides richer, more comprehensive and more immediate feedback for our tutors -  bringing us closer to our mission of making high-quality one-to-one tutoring accessible to disadvantaged students around the world. Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, is the UK’s innovation agency. They work to create a better future by inspiring, involving and investing in businesses developing life-changing innovations. Did you know it's not just schools in the UK who benefit from one to one tutoring from Third Space Learning? Over the last year we've been working with a growing number of schools in the US too! Recently, we caught up with Liz Avery, Math Instructional Coach at Renaissance Academy in New York, to hear first-hand the impact the regular math tutoring sessions have had on their 4th and 5th grade students: “Every student who attended the sessions increased their scores last year. The kids love working one-on-one with the tutors and all said they felt they got better at math.” Click here to find out more about Renaissance Academy’s experience with our tuition ⬇️ https://bit.ly/4adG4kd We are so excited to have the opportunity to work with schools like Renaissance Academy and our expansion into the US, working with our growing team of US math experts to ensure students and teachers are able to benefit from our math support.

🇺🇸 This week, Robert Langman, James Gregson and Andy H. are at the ESEA Network conference in Portland, Oregon connecting with school and district leaders to support disadvantaged students. It's an event that links closely to our mission and we have enjoyed having the speak to so many inspiring administrators about the work they're doing to help close the achievement gap. In the US, over 9 million children live below the federal poverty line. These children — and others from similar socioeconomic backgrounds — face academic challenges that their peers don’t. In math in particular, students from low-income families score 20-30 points lower on the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) than students from higher-income families. We feel passionate that these children have access to the opportunities they need to succeed in math and can't wait to grow our community of schools and districts in the US to help do our bit. If you're attending come and say hello at stand 1222. #ESEA #ESEA2024 #ESEAConference

Hundreds of schools across the country have signed a letter calling for more National Tutoring Programme (NTP) funding in next month's spring Budget. Teachers, School Leaders and Trust Leaders - like Redhill Academy Trust regional director Tim Croft - have signed their names to ensure they can continue to provide vital support for the students in their schools and trusts who need it most: “Access to tutoring is often limited to the schools and parents that can most afford it; NTP funding has allowed us to redress this imbalance but we will simply not be able to do this if funding is withdrawn.” Read more information and the full letter here: https://bit.ly/3wimGEn

Calling all teachers, school leaders and education partners: Tutoring funding has helped thousands of schools provide targeted academic support for hundreds of thousands of pupils - particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. The evidence suggests that tutoring is one of the most effective ways of raising attainment. At a time when millions of children require extra support, and school budgets and staff are under huge pressure, it is essential that this funding is continued. This letter from a group of teachers, school leaders and tutoring providers is addressed to the Prime Minister, Chancellor and Secretary of State for Education and makes the case for continued funding for tutoring.
