Authenticity is key to The Chinese Room's games. The scarf in Caz's cabin in "Still Wakes the Deep" is not just any asset we plucked out of nowhere. It's got history... Around 150 years of it, in fact. And that we wanted to work with the legendary, artistically-ambitious, top-quality team at Lost in Cult (makers of IMMORTALITY, Citizen Sleeper books, amongst many others). https://lnkd.in/dsfDDXyj Since then, the project has evolved into a full-blown Development Book – there are just so many stories to tell about each department. Of course the "Still Wakes the Deep" team watched "The Thing" extensively for research, but to continue celebrating the game's release, it was delightful to enjoy a private screening of this classic collectively with the brilliant "Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2" team too, at one of the UK's oldest cinemas. 🧐📽 We've spent the weekend watching streams, people's video essays on the game, numerous astonishing reviews (have you seen this one?? https://lnkd.in/dy4c897U ) - what a thrill. Thank you all so much. What a week... We're ending it with pride, relief, and elevated emotions. "Still Wakes the Deep" - our biggest title since Rapture is now in the players' hands, and is seemingly beloved. We've been watching streams of people experiencing it, reading all the comments, celebrating releasing our labour of love into the world. Thanks to everybody who is playing, enjoying, reviewing, "liking" etc. We have the most wonderful community. 💘
