    AI can be a useful enablement tool for searching, engaging with candidates, creating job adverts... but it shouldn’t be heavily relied on – like everything, it has its limitations. With assessing anything subjective, e.g. culture fit, possible biases in training data can lead AI models to miss great candidates. Qualifying culture isn’t about marrying up keywords and skills, it requires the human approach to identifying candidates that align with values, work style etc. AI should be used to complement your recruitment efforts by freeing up people to focus on the things AI can never replace – building relationships, sharing constructive feedback with empathy, navigating win-win negotiations etc. #ai #recruitment #artificialintelligence

    Large technology companies are increasingly using artificial intelligence to help them find new staff. Executives from Workday, Tata Consultancy Services and HCLTech told LinkedIn News that they think AI has a role to play when it comes to recruitment. "Laboursome exercises like job requisitions can be automated to free up time, candidate pools can be widened to include previously overlooked talent, and key insights can be identified from datasets that would have otherwise remained untapped," said Daniel Pell, Workday country manager for the UK and Ireland. But how do candidates feel about the prospect of robot recruiters? According to a survey by Tidio, a customer service software provider, only 31% of people would agree to allow AI to decide whether or not they get hired.
