Today, let's talk about business development (BD). BD takes time; not easy for a recruiter to appreciate! Recruiters can be quite impatient; be honest now; hold your hands up. I'm sure that many of you can relate to that. Here is the thing. When it comes to BD, people forget that inputs don't always result in outputs as fast as we want, even though we try to convince ourselves that they will. This week's podcast and post discuss what has happened in the market to create change and the two outreach systems you need to develop to deliver the desired results. You can access the podcast and post below🎙✍👇 https://lnkd.in/eUdm6Rjp

Why the V..... word is critical. 🙋♀️🙋♂️ When many recruitment owners think about outreach in the current market, the real challenge for them is the V word, which is Volume. When you think about doing outreach, please remember that at any one time, only 3% to 7% of your client or candidate audience are ready to work with you right now. That's right just, 3% - 7% ! 😮 When you're thinking about the volume of outreach that you do, you have to go back and work the numbers out. And think, ok, if only 3% to 7% are ready to work with us, then what volume and scale of outreach do we need to be doing? So, take a step back, work out the numbers, and then you know the level of outreach that will deliver the results that you want. 👍

With BD being a major focus for most recruitment and search companies this year, could paid advertising on the Meta platform help? A quick look at the data suggests the answer is yes. Russell Brunson, the marketing legend, suggests that companies don't need to worry about website traffic when our target market hangs out in so many other places. He has a point. Did you know that over half of the planet has at least one social media account? In the UK, over 60% of the population has a Facebook account, which is even higher in the US. Logically, if we advertise on these channels, we can access a percentage of our market. The upside of Meta is that there are multiple options available that we can use to our advantage. I explain more in this week's podcast and post 🎙✍👇 https://lnkd.in/eZAD6AvD

Emotions trigger faster decision-making because they are processed in the limbic system responsible for feelings and behaviour. Fascinating isn’t it 🙋♀️. Think about the content you use and the job adverts you write; are you triggering emotions to help your clients or candidates make buying decisions?

Did you know that human beings have several basic requirements that need to be met before our primitive brain settles down enough to say yes to what we are being offered when it comes to committing to investing in a significant purchase? That is investing in your recruiting service and process or trusting you and your team to find a candidate the career move they want. Fascinating, isn’t it? This critical part of the marketing and sales puzzle is based on several research studies on what is important for human beings to feel and experience before they say yes. Last year, at one of our client virtual events, we ran a training on this topic and wanted to share it with you to support your BD efforts in the current market. Build in the five convincers I share in the podcast, and it will make a huge difference in the number of your offers that are accepted. Enjoy! 👇🎙 https://lnkd.in/eDftS3Rp

Are you surprised? I suspect not if you look at your purchasing behaviour. We live in a society where we find people online and check them out before talking to them. Knowing what your recruitment clients are looking for before they engage……. are you consistently posting on your blog and social media? Content has turned into a real game-changer over the past few years regarding marketing in the sector. You will fall behind if you aren’t posting regularly, adding value, or discussing how to help. If you want to find out how we can help you stand out, drop me a message here.

One of those things that is important to understand if you want to create more demand for your recruiting and search service is why clients and candidates decide to work with. Why? Because these are the questions they need answers to before they decide to buy. One of the reasons I wanted to record this podcast is that we're having various conversations with our clients who are part of Superfast Circle about their messaging and how they communicate with their audience. Some of you may have noticed that you will see different promotional messages on our various feeds, where we answer comments and questions from clients. Each message will include an image and content that answers one of the four drivers of people's decision to work with us. The good news is that these reasons are universal and they are exactly the same for your candidates and clients. We explain more in this week’s podcast and post here ✍🎙👩💻👉-> https://lnkd.in/emtMb_GB

We held our Connection Marbella event last week and had a terrific presentation from Sharon Newey from Superfast Recruitment. Sharon talked about the lead generation triad: content marketing, current connections, and cold outreach ... and reminded all of us that consistent attention over time is what leads to results. Thanks to Trond Larsen for being the original catalyst for this event and introducing us to so many wonderful recruitment firms over the years, many of whom have joined #NPAworldwide. I continue to be amazed by the quality and professionalism of our members and the connections they have with partners all over the world.
