Building strategy-driven brands for Designers, Architects and Photographers | Helping you attract the work you want

“We don’t need branding.” “We’re getting enough work.” “We get our work from word of mouth.” “We already have a logo.” Some of the reasons creative businesses don’t consider their brand. Business might be going well now. But building a brand is about a long-term strategy. Your ideal clients will do their research. And will be presented with options. They will see your competitors who are: - Specialists - Award-winning - Highly-rated - Visible online Because these businesses haven’t limited their reach. They’ve opened doors to new opportunities because they: - Created an identity that stands out - Built a reputation as an expert - Increased brand awareness - Made meaningful connections Want to attract the work you want? Invest in your brand. Don’t rely on other people to determine the growth of your business. Build a reputation you want to be known for. #personalbranding #personalbrandingtips #brandstrategist #freelancer #creativecareers

I spend 1-3 hours a week working on my brand Because I believe branding is effective when you consistently work on it. You can do the same: 1) Remind yourself of your mission and vision 2) Research your ideal client 3) Analyse your competitors 4) Develop efficient systems and processes 5) Share relevant content 6) Continue to develop skills and knowledge of your niche Consuming too much content can be distracting. Focus on what you need to do to grow your brand. Remind yourself of these 6 things because: 1) A clear purpose will help you connect with the right people. 2) Needs and attitudes of your ideal client may shift. 3) You have to position yourself away from your competitors. 4) A positive client experience creates a potential referrer. 5) You need to give clients a reason to choose you. 6) You want to provide the best services. It ensures everything is going in the right direction. Your messaging, processes and skillset. If you think your brand is holding you back. Focus on these 6 things. #brandingtips #branddesign #branddesigner #brandstrategy #personalbranding

Building strategy-driven brands for Designers, Architects and Photographers | Helping you attract the work you want

“How do I find my niche?” It’s a question I often get asked by creative businesses. Specialising in a niche means your services offer a solution to a specific client. It could be defined by location, design style or the type of project. Your niche is a combination of 3 things: 1) What you’re passionate about (you want to enjoy your work) 2) What you’re good at (clients are looking for results) 3) What the world needs (there has to be a need for your services) Here’s how to get started: 1) Pick 3 projects from your portfolio (that you want to do more of) 2) Analyse these projects - Who was the client? (location, age, gender, budget) - What were their pain points? (what were they struggling with) - Why did they choose you? (what made them say ‘yes’) - How did you help? (what did you do and why) 3) Write your mission statement 4) Adjust your services/processes accordingly 5) Demonstrate skills and knowledge that’s relevant to your niche You want to do work you enjoy, but you have to be good at what you do. Combine your passion with your strengths. Any questions? #brandingtips #personalbranding #interiordesigner #gardendesigner #freelancephotographer

Your brand drives leads 81% said they needed to trust the brand in order to buy from it. Take a look at your current brand: - Do you attract random enquiries - Does your portfolio not reflect the projects you want to attract - Do you feel embarrassed about your website This doesn’t give clients a reason to trust you. - Your messaging needs to speak to your ideal client. - Your website and portfolio should showcase your expertise. - Your visual identity should represent what you do. Clients are investing in your expertise. Your brand gives clients an insight into what to expect. They need to believe your services will make a difference to them. Build a brand with confidence. That’s what clients need to see. If you don’t back your brand, why should potential clients. #brandtips #personalbranding #interiordesign #gardendesign #freelancephotographer
