We are aware of the global IT outages situation, and are monitoring Stora's systems to ensure that customer websites, online bookings and payments are not incurring any issues. At present, all websites are functioning as normal, bookings can be made as usual, and payments are all processing. We will keep a very close eye on developments and provide an update to customers if there is any change to this.

Our growing team just got quite a bit bigger, and full of absolutely top-class talent. A huge welcome to four new members of the Stora team: - David Hughes has joined us as Head of Product. David is hugely talented and we're really excited to have him join the team. David was previously Head of Design and Product at Rotor Videos. - Jon Triggs is our first ever Head of Customer Success. Jon's role is to help our customers succeed, which is ultimately why Stora exists. Jon has joined from Fluent Technologies where he was Commercial Director. - Laura Carlisle has joined our sales team as an Account Executive, and has already been making a huge difference. Laura joins from Nationwide where she was a Financial Analyst. - Izaak Crook is our Growth Marketing Lead. We've added 100 self storage facilities to our innovation-led self storage software platform so far this year. A big welcome to all of our new customers and thank you to everyone who has supported us.

As Stora has grown way beyond our wildest dreams, one thing I haven't quite got my head around is the idea of churn - customers leaving, sometimes moving to competitors. It hasn't been an issue at Stora yet, but there is in fact a healthy level of churn (3-8% annually) in a b2b SaaS business, so I'm going to have to get comfortable with it. If churn is too high, you have a product problem. Too low, you may be undercharging for your product. Since starting three years ago, we've only ever had 3 customers leave (out of more than 200). During the same period, we have transitioned more than 40 customers from competitor products. 🥂 Good news though! In April, 9 months after leaving us, one of the three who left has returned. They called us a few months ago and said bookings had fallen off a cliff since leaving Stora and that there were features within Stora that they had barely noticed until they no longer had them (automated payment retries, highly converting customer check-out were two they mentioned). Anyway, I'm going to have to get more comfortable with customers leaving in the future, but for now, I'm going to enjoy the win! 🙌
