Colleagues from across Steer came together this week for the Lee Cup tournament. Held in honour of our friend and colleague Lee Deacon, who sadly passed away in March after a long battle with cancer. With six high-scoring games, there were some spectacular long-distance goals and heroic keeper saves. It was an evening of intense competition and remarkable sportsmanship. Congratulations to all the players who showcased their talent, support and sportsmanship. Through everyone’s participation and generosity, the tournament raised £415 in donations for Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research and offers information and support to anyone affected by sarcoma. Thank you to everyone who made this event unforgettable in honour of Lee. Steer has successfully advised on securing €6.7 million funding to upgrade Assoro biomethane plant in Sicily, enhancing its capacity and driving Italy's energy transition. The funding for the plant, owned by Società Agricola Assoro Biometano S.r.l. which is part of Femo Gas Group, comes from Banco BPM and marks the second round of financing for the plant, bringing Banco BPM’s total loan to over €12 million. Our strategic partnership with Femo Gas Group highlights the essential role of private investment in expanding biomethane production across Italy, the EU commission has called for a significant increase in biomethane production by 2030 in order to reach climate targets. Steer's expertise in financial advisory has been instrumental in attracting both public and private financing, fostering the growth of renewable energy resources. We're proud to contribute to a sustainable future and support our clients in achieving their goals. #sustainableenergy #biomethane #energytransition #wearesteer

Commercial vehicles like vans, taxis and coaches make up only 15% of vehicles on British roads but account for over 40% of carbon emissions thanks to their higher usage, this makes electrifying them a pressing issue. Despite this clear and present need however, commercial EV charging receives little attention next to discussions around private vehicles. Steer recently worked as part of a group developing a new methodology for commercial EV charging, read more about our innovative efforts and how they can aid the UK’s journey to Net Zero: https://lnkd.in/enwp7PC9 #commercial #ev #sustainability #wearesteer
