Schroders Greencoat LLP was delighted to yesterday host an investor site visit with Avon Pension Fund at Grange Farm. Grange Farm is a 21MW solar farm located just outside Bristol and produces enough renewable electricity to power 7,200 homes. It is one of the 17 assets from the recently acquired Toucan Energy portfolio part of the place-based and locally-focused renewable energy infrastructure mandate managed by Schroders Greencoat LLP. Schroders Greencoat LLP hosted an investor site visit to one of our wastewood bioenergy plants in Wales last week. The plant produces enough renewable electricity to power over 95,000 homes and avoids hundreds of thousands of tonnes of wastewood going to landfill, and, through avoiding wastewood to landfill, avoids over 90,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. Not to mention the role it plays in local employment and community benefit schemes. We were joined by some of our #LGPS investors who were certainly struck by the scale of the plant.
