#NoWrongPath To all young people receiving exam results today and in the coming weeks, whatever your grades or plans, we wish you the best of luck in the next stage of your journey. We'll finish our stories with Iona who’s come full circle in her career at Robertson, and couldn’t be more satisfied with her role: "I've tried loads of things – sometimes it can take a while to find out what makes you happy". #NoWrongPath #Construction #FacilitiesManagement #CivilEngineering #ProfessionalServices #Careers #EarlyCareers

Construction
We’re one of the largest family-owned construction, infrastructure and support services businesses in the UK.
About us
We’re one of the largest family-owned construction, infrastructure and support services businesses in the UK, and we apply the same principles to every aspect of our business today that we did over fifty years ago when Bill Robertson began with his joinery firm in Elgin. Over the years our sustainable growth has enabled us to invest in our business, the future of people and communities, and to deliver on major projects, housing schemes and facilities management for customers nationally. We have the ability to accept big challenges, and build positive, mutually beneficial partner relationships. At the same time we think locally, working with stakeholders and the supply chain to deliver services and infrastructure that will stand the test of time. Today we employ over 3,200 talented people across a broad range of roles including construction, timber engineering, facilities management, capital projects, property development, regeneration, civil engineering, building services and housebuilding. Ultimately, our approach is about making progress safely towards a sustainable future. It’s the Robertson Way. #WeAreTeamRobertson

Earlier this month saw the topping out of the new Monifieth Learning Campus, marking a significant milestone in the construction of the £66.5m building for Angus Council. The milestone was celebrated with a unique and creative art installation from pupils at the current Monifieth High School who painted a vibrant mural at the roof of the new campus. Capturing the move from the current school to the new campus, the mural will serve as a permanent time capsule within the building, as it will be hidden once construction continues. Robertson Construction Tayside was joined by representatives from the Council, Procurement Hub and other stakeholders to view the mural and add their signatures to commemorate this collaborative achievement. With the steel frame now complete, the Passivhaus school will open its doors to pupils in July 2025. #Construction #education #sustainability #celebration

Introducing our summer 2024 interns... Thirteen students from around the UK have joined Team Robertson as part of our 12-week Summer Internship Programme. Our new recruits have been paired with a business or function whose expertise complements their field of study to help maximise their learning experience. Working alongside our teams as we deliver for our customers and communities, interns will have the opportunity to contribute their ideas and perspectives, and develop their skills and commercial awareness. Chief Executive Officer Elliot Robertson offered his advice on making the most of the weeks ahead, “Use every moment to the maximum, ask questions, grow your knowledge and use this as a stepping stone to a professional career. Continuous learning is a key part of our culture and success – the only limits to what you can learn in the next 12 weeks will be the limits that you place on yourself. I look forward to meeting you soon.” Welcome to Team Robertson! #earlycareers #summerinternship #construction #facilitiesmanagement #engineering #learninganddevelopment

As part of our overall commitment to the development of the next generation of talent in our business and industries, we firmly believe in providing a space where the voices of our young people can be heard. Earlier this month our NextGen Ambassadors, representing young people across Robertson, met with CEO Elliot Robertson to share regional insights and suggestions to further enhance our NextGen Strategy. Elliot noted, “I am always impressed by the young people across our organisation. Having the Ambassadors in place to share feedback that will improve the experience for the next ‘next gen’ is invaluable.” A big thank you to our NextGen Ambassadors for their ongoing work and ensuring the thoughts and views of our young people are brought to the table. #earlycareers #development #construction #facilitiesmanagement #engineering #civilengineering
