Paul Hamlyn Foundation
Philanthropy
Independent funder focusing on the Arts, Young people, Education & Learning and Migration, across the UK and in India.
About us
Paul Hamlyn Foundation was established by Paul Hamlyn in 1987. Upon his death in 2001, he left most of his estate to the Foundation, creating one of the largest grant-making foundations in the UK. Our mission is to help people overcome disadvantage and lack of opportunity, so that they can realise their potential and enjoy fulfilling and creative lives. We have a particular interest in supporting young people and a strong belief in the importance of the arts. We launched our current UK strategy in June 2015. It is built around six strategic priorities, where we want to see change over the coming years: • Support imaginative people to nurture exciting ideas • Widen access and participation in the arts • Improve people’s education and learning through the arts • Show that the arts make a difference to people’s lives • Support the development and growth of organisations investing in young people and positive change • Improve support for young people who migrate, and strengthen integration so that communities can live well together Further information on our activities can be found at www.phf.org.uk Follow us on Twitter using @phf_uk and @phf_india

We want to see a world where all children can realise their potential and thrive.🌱 This is only possible by tackling inequity – especially in education🍎📚 Our partner @_TheFEA outlines key policy asks to ensure that every child can access a high quality education👇 https://lnkd.in/esD3EeHG
Congratulations The Rt Hon Keir Starmer and The Labour Party on winning the General Election. We look forward to working together to tackle inequality in education and make education fair for every child and young person, regardless of their socioeconomic background. https://lnkd.in/gnXkRMDk On election night we were delighted to hear Secretary of State for Education, The Rt Hon Bridget Phillipson MP, promise to “tear down the barriers to opportunity which hold back too many of our children”. Today we’re launching Fair Education in 2024: Priorities for a New Government – providing the new Government with policies that prioritise, above all else, tackling inequality. We also look at fresh ideas already being implemented by some of our coalition of 300 members, and invite the Government to work with us all to develop and implement solutions together. Please join us in sharing this as widely as possible, as we speak with one unified voice – fair education is achievable! https://lnkd.in/gnXkRMDk #FairEdForAll

🎉 Today we‘re excited to launch our new website and refreshed brand identity. 🎉 Working in partnership with our agency William Joseph, and Digital Project Manager, Sam Scott-Wood, we have developed a visual identity which is more accessible, more engaging and puts user experience centre stage. This project was a collaborative endeavour from day one. Alongside senior management and our communications team, a board of staff members from all areas of our organisation provided their valuable time, enthusiasm and expertise. Every stage of development went through intensive user testing, and we are hugely grateful to everyone who participated and helped make our website the best it could be. We would like to extend our thanks to the team at William Joseph (B Corp), Sam Scott Wood and all our PHF colleagues. Explore https://www.phf.org.uk/
