Meet some of our residents! ⭐️ Julia and Ebere are two sisters from our Skye Edge development in Sheffield. Both are carers and live just 5 minutes away from each other. Sian lives at our Welsh Streets development in Liverpool and works as a community midwife. John lives at our Manchester development, Elevate, and works as a drama teacher. All four of these residents are key workers who have chosen to rent with Placefirst. We take pride in providing secure, high-quality homes for key workers. In fact, just under half of all our residents are key workers, with 20% of them employed in healthcare. Watch below to find out why renting with Placefirst works for Sian, Julia, Ebere, and John. #buildtorent #SFH #BTR

Award winning and experienced build-to-rent developer. Well maintained, high quality homes designed for long-term rent
About us
We are Placefirst. We are an award winning and experienced build-to-rent developer with a growing portfolio of over 1,500 homes throughout the UK. Since our establishment in 2010, we’ve been committed to building and developing aspirational neighbourhoods with high-quality, well-maintained homes built specifically for rent for the local community. We currently have a mixture of refurbished and built neighbourhoods across the UK that are all individual and created with the community in mind. At Placefirst, we design, develop, let and manage the neighbourhoods we create, and we have specialist in-house teams to handle every step of the resident journey. We stay for the long term - after each development is complete, we stay on site to manage our neighbourhoods. We are not scared of challenging sites and we have the expertise to see the projects through. We’re proud to work with a variety of partners across our portfolio, working collaboratively to deliver exceptional neighbourhoods of high-quality homes for rent, that deliver positive social impact. We also have a strong track record of delivering high quality refurbishment, with homes that focus on energy efficiency, quality, and a respectful nod to the past by keeping heritage aspects wherever we can. We provide a comprehensive BTR delivery service including development, construction, resident services, and ongoing estate management.

Sunderland City Council has given unanimous approval to the 75-homes at Nile + Villiers in the Sunniside area, as it drives to increase city centre living. Upon completion, we'll be acquiring 65 of those new homes for #BuildToRent, with an understanding of the crucial role that quality and secure housing plays in any ambitious city undergoing transformation. 🏠 https://lnkd.in/ee5NhBwz

'Committed to keeping our people safe' - a belief that sits at the core of the recent ISO 45001 certification secured by Tom Barker. ISO 45001 is the international standard for Occupational Health and Safety, providing a framework for identifying workplace risks and improving employee well-being, including promoting and protecting physical and mental health. This standard goes beyond only compliance; it integrates safety into our organisational culture, ensuring that team leaders at all levels prioritise the well-being of their teams and our people. Congrats to all the team involved in completing our first ISO certification. #ISO45001 #Leadership #SafetyFirst #OccupationalHealth

Single-family housing (SFH) has a great business case and is thriving when it comes to attracting investment, but there’s still a job to be done by the industry in communicating its benefits to consumers: “Those in the property industry may know the benefits of SFH, but the public is much less familiar with what it entails. Developers and operators of SFH need to communicate to the consumer market why it’s a great option for renters – and what benefits it can bring to the local area.” Similarly, with news of a £20 billion budget black hole creating uncertainty around how much government investment is going to stand behind Labour’s commitment to 1.5 million homes a year, there’s likely going to be an even greater need for private delivery and public-private partnerships in delivering quality SFH up and down the country. This in turn only underlines the need to show consumers that SFH is a reliable route to amenity-rich, high quality, professionally managed and energy efficient homes. https://lnkd.in/edxmgdWS #singlefamilyhousing #buildtorent #housingmarket
Single-family housing is booming. But do consumers know that?

'A real footprint in the town' according to Jon Dyson, Director of Place at Bolton Council. 🤝🏻 It was lovely to welcome Jon, Sue Johnson (Chief Exec), Cllr Akhtar Zaman (Deputy Leader), and Paul Whittingham (Assistant Director Development & Regeneration) to tour our development built specifically for private rent in the centre of Bolton. Having acknowledged Placefirst as a 'strong development partner', it was brilliant to see Team Bolton appreciate the scale, progress, and impact that Deansgate Gardens will have on the town and also on attracting people to live in the centre as a key part of their regeneration strategy. “A game-changer for Bolton” was the feedback from this morning’s Women in Property North West tour of our new development in the town centre. 🏢 With only 15% of the general construction workforce being females, it’s not only brilliant to see a female site manager at Caddick Construction Limited bringing about change, but to also learn that Rachael is investing her time in bringing along another female trainee hoping to become assistant site manager too. 👏🏼 Thank you to everyone who joined us for an inspiring site visit led by some brilliant females and allies across Placefirst, Caddick Construction Limited and Women in Property North West. We said we’d tag everyone here so you can connect with us, so the team were: - Rachael Cunliffe - Kirsty Jolley - Rhiannon D’Arcy - Holly Sale - Peter Clarke - Faye Chilekwa - Paul McCormick Invest in Bolton, Bolton Council
