During our inclusion webinar, when discussing how to ensure companies are creating an inclusive environment for their people, Therese Procter answered, "if leaders can be themselves, they will gain the trust of others, and others will want more." Creating an environment that inspires and practices inclusion requires leaders who are honest and open with their people, as this will help to foster a culture of openness and honesty that paves the way for psychological safety and innovation to take place. The clip below has been taken from our recent webinar on Inspiring Inclusion, and captures Therese's point on why being an honest leader is integral to inclusivity. With British department store Marks and Spencer being the latest to install co-CEOs, alongside large companies like Salesforce and Netflix, this has brought about the debate of whether more organizations should consider the co-CEO format. In the article below, Amanda explores some of the promising aspects of co-leadership, as well as some of the potential drawbacks, to weigh up how organizations can effectively implement this leadership style if they so choose. According to new research from MoneySupermarket, there has been a significant rise in employees planning to work abroad remotely without telling their employer. With a growing number of countries offering ‘digital nomad’ visas, 'work from anywhere' searches have risen by 145% in the UK. These visas bypass most of the tax-related legal barriers to an employee working abroad, and the quality of life and work-life balance benefits are likely to enhance wellbeing and productivity. So, does it really matter if they don’t tell their employer? Therefore, we’d like to ask… #remoteworking #hybridworking #remotework #workabroad

It's World Emoji Day! 🎉 For many of us, emojis are a fun, colorful, and cartoonish way of expressing ourselves. However, particularly for the younger generations, the emoji keyboard is an entire language of its own - we like to call this language 'Cybernese' (which you can learn all about here: https://lnkd.in/dHJTbXVg). As an employer, it can be important to learn how to speak this digital language of online implications, as some of their hidden meanings might end up backfiring… Take a look at the emojis below with double meanings - are you fluent in all of them? To have the meanings revealed, head over to our video from last year, which uses Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs to paint a clearer picture of the power of Cybernese: https://lnkd.in/d5bJm9VR #worldemojiday #genz #communication #hr #peoplestrategy

In his latest piece, Marty Belle poses the question: is positivity always a positive thing? There is a lot of research to show that being happy and positive at work leads to better productivity, but positivity can only lead to productivity if it is grounded in realism. Otherwise, it can very quickly slip into toxic positivity… Read the full piece below to find out what toxic positivity is and how to ensure as a leader you don't slip into this trap ⬇ #toxicpositivity #positivity #leadership #managementstyles https://lnkd.in/esfwtktj
