    A cheque for £723.09 from the proceeds of the bucket collections from the #LMW24 procession on Saturday, which included a contribution of £200 raised by the 1st Norwich Sea Scouts at their Great Norwich Duck Race on Sunday, was presented to The Benjamin Foundation today at City Hall. The charity’s BOOM Young Carers project will receive the funds, having been nominated by the Lord Mayor Councillor Vivien Thomas and Sheriff of Norwich Sirajul Islam as their Civic Charity for their year in office.     Youngsters Julian Golebiewska (left) and Clara Doy visited City Hall today to receive their prizes from Sunday’s Great Norwich Duck Race, organised by the 1st Norwich Sea Scouts.     City Hall today played host to the winners of the Lord Mayor’s Procession, who received their certificates and rosettes from the Lord Mayor Councillor Vivien Thomas and Sheriff of Norwich Sirajul Islam. Congratulations to the winners who brought such colour and entertainment to the carnival parade on Saturday. Pictured with the Lord Mayor and Sheriff are: 1st Norwich City of Sanctuary – Ali Ahmadi, Emily Clark, Duygu Guzeltas and Lamis Al-Shaibani. 2nd Catton Grove Primary School – reception teacher Amy Marrison. 3rd Framtastics Gymnastics Club – Becky Greenhouse, Rachel Perry, Olivia Greenhouse and Neve Cooper. Runners-up: The Garage – participation & programme manager Gabby Meadows. The Common Lot – director Simon Floyd. NR5 Community Partnership – Steven and Kerrie Bryant.

If you're coming to watch the Lord Mayor’s Procession on Saturday, then don't forget we have a new reversed parade route this year. It will start out from Norwich Cathedral at 3pm along Tombland, Queen Street, St Andrews Street, Exchange Street, Gentleman’s Walk past Norwich Market, Haymarket, Brigg Street and Theatre Street, towards Chapelfield Gardens.
