A cheque for £723.09 from the proceeds of the bucket collections from the #LMW24 procession on Saturday, which included a contribution of £200 raised by the 1st Norwich Sea Scouts at their Great Norwich Duck Race on Sunday, was presented to The Benjamin Foundation today at City Hall. The charity’s BOOM Young Carers project will receive the funds, having been nominated by the Lord Mayor Councillor Vivien Thomas and Sheriff of Norwich Sirajul Islam as their Civic Charity for their year in office. City Hall today played host to the winners of the Lord Mayor’s Procession, who received their certificates and rosettes from the Lord Mayor Councillor Vivien Thomas and Sheriff of Norwich Sirajul Islam. Congratulations to the winners who brought such colour and entertainment to the carnival parade on Saturday.
